ABOUT US
 To make great wine you need hard work and you need passion. Both attributes have been in our family for three generations.
Tomasello Winery was founded in 1933 by our grandfather and is a now run by the third generation of the Tomasello family. We are dedicated to the production of fine varietal wines made from grapes grown on our 70 acres; as well as the production of premium fruit wines.
There is a saying in the wine industry that "great wines are made in the vineyard". Throughout our 75 years we have been dedicated to growing the varietals that thrive in our vineyards and produce the highest quality wines.
Over the years we have had generations of loyal customers and have had the great opportunity to meet many of the new generations of wine lovers that are learning about and enjoying Tomasello wine as well. We are passionate about the wines that we produce and hope that you will enjoy them in the company of your good friends and with a hearty meal.

Tomasello Winery's vineyards are in the Atlantic and Camden counties of New Jersey. The vines grow in a sandy loam soil with a clay bottom. The soil is somewhat acidic (have you ever tasted the famous Jersey Tomato?) which benefits the acidity of the wine. Climate is Region 3 on the Davis scale.
Harvest generally commences during the last week of August through the first week of October. During dry seasons, the harvest parameters are typically high sugar with a strong underlying acidity.
We currently have 70 acres under vine, with more than 30 different varieties of grapes including native American, French hybrid and Vinifera. Throughout our 75 year history we have constantly experimented with new varietals to see which varietals are best suited to our location and which produce the highest quality wines. New varietals in our vineyards include Sangiovese, Shiraz, and Petit Verdot.
