By Saturday afternoon you may find yourself suffering from PRWSD: Post Royal Wedding Stress Disorder. Imagine life without streaming video of William and Kate, QE II, The POW and the rest of The Royals ... how will we survive the rest of the weekend without them and the 24/7 coverage of their bigwig shindig of the century?

So wean yourself off the celebratory Pol Roger, Pimm's Cups and British Beers. Perhaps a few sips of wine at The Vineyard's Big Taste will ease you down from your Anglophilic high.

So please join us from 5-8pm. If you want to use your exclusive "Royal" Speed Pass to enter early or, just make registration at the door quicker, please print out, fill out and bring The Royal Ducat you'll find below. 

As usual, we offer 20% discounts on purchases of 12+ bottles and 10% off on a purchase of 6-11 bottles.

In addition, The Meat House has come up with a promotion you'll like because it saves you a princely sum on their meats fit for a King:

• During the official hours of our Big Taste (5-8pm), any customer who purchases any red wine can get $0.50 (otherwise known as 50 cents) off per pound on any red meat sold at The Meat House.
• Any customer who purchases any white wine can get $0.50 off per pound on any white meat (chicken, turkey, pork etc.) sold at The Meat House.
• And, just to make it even more fun, if you buy any cheese at The Meat House during these hours, The Vineyard will take $0.50 off any single bottle of wine you purchase (red, white, sparkling etc.). This offer cannot be combined with any other discount, so if you are buying 6 or more wines you'll get the discount of either 10% or 20% described above.

What's a SPEED PASS and how does it work?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For those of you who are not familiar with the SPEED PASS, here's the story:

• You gain special entrance to The Big Taste 1/2 hour before the general public is admitted.
• Also, it speeds up your registration process at the front door and saves you time.

When you attend The Big Taste, everyone registers at the front door by giving us your name and email address. With this, you are automatically entered into a raffle for some free stuff that we give away. You don't have to be present to win because we contact the winners by email to let them know what they've won.

In addition, we add your email address to our list of people to invite to future tastings and for special promotions we do from time to time. We never sell or loan your email to anyone...we promise. If you don't like the emails you can opt out at any time.

So instead of wasting time at the door, just print out the SPEED PASS below, then fill it out with your name and email and if you have a guest their name and email address. Just drop it in the BIG COGNAC GLASS (you'll see when you get here) and your in!

So please remember to:

1. PRINT* the Speed Pass.
2. FILL OUT the Speed Pass.
3. BRING the Speed Pass with you.
4. DROP the Speed Pass into the BIG COGNAC GLASS.

*Some people tell us they can't print the SPEED PASS. We've never been able to figure out this problem. So, here's a solution: make your own SPEED PASS. You can do it in your word processor or you can make it with crayons or pens...we don't care as long as it's readable and it looks something like this:

Tonight, Kurt Reming of Pasternak Wine Imports, makes his first appearance at The Vineyard. Kurt will pour 5 wines we recently added to our wine list. Kurt's lineup spans 3 countries (France, Italy, Argentina). However the focus is on the wines of Lafite as 3 of the 5 wines are from the Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) collection:

Saturday, April 16th The Meat House Food and Wine Festival 2pm-6pm. 

The Meat House "Food Fest" features samples from their preferred vendors. The Vineyard will supply 4 nice wines with which to wash down those samples.  

These wines are also new additions and are good every day drinkers that will accompany your steak tips and marinated turkey and chicken in fine style. We will taste the new "Naked Grape" Wines. We're featuring them at a special price:  

any 3 bottles for 20 Bucks!  

1. Naked Grape Pinot Grigio $7.99 
2. Naked Grape Chardonnay $7.99 
3. Naked Grape Pinot Noir $7.99 
4. Naked Grape Cabernet Sauvignon $7.99

Taste them and if you like them...you can buy 3 bottles of any varietal (mixed or the same, it doesn't matter) for $20.  Do the math...it's a big savings.
