Porta winery was established in 1954, when the Gutierrez-Porta family arrives from Spain.

The family settles in the Cachapoal valley, south of the historical city of Rancagua. In 1991

 they launched the range of wines under the name "Casa Porta", becoming one of the first

 boutique wineries in Chile.

The Wines

 

with soft floral and mineral hints. A well-balanced wine that

has a crisp acidity, fresh fruit characters kiwi expressed on

the palate and a beautiful finish.

 

Porta winery cabernetReserve Cabernet Sauvignon: Brilliant and clean red ruby color.

Delicate, fruity and elegant in the mouth, with a good structure

 and nice mature tannins.

 

Porta winery merlotReserve Merlot: Nice ruby red with some violet tints. In the mouth one again

senses blackberry with soft and ripe tannins, good balance between fruit and

wood. This Merlot is warm and delicate.

 

Porta winery pinot noir Pinot Noir: Light bodied wine expressing typical Pinot Noir from the Bio

Bio valley. Fragrant cherry tones, combined with raspberry and strawberry.

 


Porta winery syrahPrivate Reserve Syrah: Deep and brilliant ruby red in color. Intense fruit

combined with blackberry, toasted bacon, mint and spices. Showing good

structure in the mouth, with round and mature tannins displaying characters

typical of this terroir.
