Dear Oso Customer:

It is with regret that Katina and I, representing Oso Brewing Company, have to inform you that our products will not be able to be sold to you, in the counties of Lincoln, Marathon, Portage, Menominee, Shawano and Waushara counties for the foreseeable future.

We want all you to know that we have been working tirelessly to work through the philosophical differences we have had with our local distributor, but have failed to come to a resolution.

With the laws written the way they are, the exiting distributor owns the territory rights to distribute to the counties under contract until another distributor is willing to compensate the out going distributor for the brand.

Again, we are sorry that this situation has occurred. We are committed to informing you if anything changes in the near future. Thanks for your continued support!

Sincerely, Marc & Katina Buttera (Owners)

Past beer -Duzy Piwo

Past beer -Duzy PiwoTM

The first Polish words that I learned after moving to Central Wisconsin were Duzy Piwo. It is ironic that we now operate a brewery that crafts plenty of "Big Beers". Enjoy this big golden treat in moderation or you could end up on your dupa. If you'd like to make this beer on your own, stop on down we have a brew kit to help you do it!

Past -Floppin OpiTM

This alt-ternative Brown lager is assertively hopped, yet smooth as silk. Opi grays the line between a Dusseldorf Alt and a Brown. It's as freestyle as Opi's flop, yet less painful. Enjoy. If you'd like to make this beer, then stop on down. We have a brew kit for you!

Black Cocker BockTM

As the ice gives way on the Wisconsin river, yard work becomes obvious as all Fido's piles from the entire winter lay on the lawn in a mushy mess. This malty treat should make clean up much easier. Enjoy!

If you'd like to brew this beer, then stop on down. We have a brew kit for you to do it.

Past - Belgian-PaleTM

This one came to us in a dream and doesn't fit style guidelines at all. Essentially, it's a Pale Ale hopped with noble hops and fermented with a special Belgian strain of yeast. Rose hips and oak finish off this truly unique offering. Enjoy!

Belgian DarkTM

Get ready for a flavor explosion that is synonymous with Belgian style beers. Made with the finest continental malts and punched up with the addition of candi sugar. This winter warmer will be sure to add color to your cheeks.

Summer StormTM

Oops, we colored outside the lines again! This summer's release couples thirst quenching raw wheat with an eyebrow raising West Coast hop to create a unique light bodied, easy drinking Belgian style wheat thingy. Enjoy the summer storms! If you would like to brew this kit, stop on down, we have a brew kit for you!

Past - Spike's 2009

Spike'sTM

Every spring when the sap flows, we pay homage to my late great grandfather Spike by crafting a special beer. This year's earthy, pale amber ale is crafted with enigmatic crystal malts and finished with cascade hops to create a dry, spicy, floral finish. Enjoy with your pancakes, Spike would have!

Our History

Oso Brewing

The O'so Brewing Company, 1812 Post Road, Plover, is ready to offer local residents a taste of the

unusual as they begin to brew their first batch of beer.

The company, founded by Marc Buttera and Bart Peterson, has one goal: brew beer differently. "I

don't think anyone around here offers what I'm looking at ... we want to fill some voids,I don't want

to make a regular brown ale, or pale ale. I want to do something that fits in between."

The dream for Buttera started when he was in college, and a friend turned him on to home brewing,

which he has been doing now for about 13 years. Four years ago, his love of home brewing led him

to open the Point Brew Supply, 1816 Post Road, Plover, with his wife, Katina.

"It (Point Brew Supply) has opened my eyes to all the different ingredients that I think a lot of

brewers don't have exposure to," "I've played with every single strain of yeast and grain and hop

in there.

O'so Brewing Co. is planning to have a varied lineup of beers, with interesting names and flavors.

They will have a red ale, a West Coast Pale Ale showcasing American hops, as well as a Black

Cocker Bock.

"I'm ready to show the world what I've learned, and I'm definitely not going to do things like other

people are, but I think I'm on some sort of weird cutting edge.

The brewery has a capacity to brew about 280 gallons per batch, with plans to brew twice a week.

A unique aspect of their marketing technique will be in the tapper. The design, a "Big O" will be the

brewery's signature.

"The local breweries have just been awesome. We have an open invitation if we need anything to

call (Central Waters and Point Brewery) up," Buttera said. "Hopefully, we can fit in without encroaching

and fill a void."

Quality ingredients, Old world craftsmanship. Plus a little new age thinking equals beer with attitude!

We carefully craft our world-class ales using only the finest ingredients; premium malted and roasted

grains, hops, yeast, and pristine water straight from our own unique aquifer, and we never heat

pasteurize or sterile filter our beers. Our tradition of carefully crafting inspired, flavorful, ales of

the highest caliber has earned us a local following.

Here at O'so Brewing Company, we strive to produce consistent high quality beers. With the current

market conditions of hops and malt, there maybe times that your beer tastes just a little different

from the last time you had it. This is because we were forced to use a new ingredient in place of

something that is not available at the time. Some of these new ingredients we have never used

before. We embrace this challenge and hope to learn more about what these new malt and hop

varieties can do to improve our beer. One thing is for sure, we will continue to create the highest

quality beers while melding the art and science of brewing in uncharted waters. Drop us a line and

let us know what you think. We would love to hear from you. Thanks Marc and Katina Butter
