About NABA leader in the marketing and selling of specialty and imported beer in the United States, Labatt USA imports and markets the top-selling Canadian beer brands in the U.S., Labatt Blue and Labatt Blue Light. Labatt products were first imported into the Northeastern United States in the 1950s. In the mid- 1970s, the Labatt Brewing Company of Canada purchased Labatt importers and expanded distribution. In 1985, the company was renamed Labatt USA and corporate headquarters were first established in Darien, Connecticut. At the same time, Labatt USA's Canadian parent made a major commitment to building a national business in the United States. An aggressive new strategy called for the development of a full line of high-quality brands that would compete above the mainstream beer business. The first step was to accelerate the growth of the core brand, Labatt Blue, while expanding the Labatt line and making it available across the U.S. Another major development was the decision to concentrate on the imported and specialty segment of the U.S. beer market. Under that strategy, Labatt USA began to develop a reputation as America's Specialty Beer CompanyTM. The Genesee Brewing tradition dates back to 1857 and through the years, has prospered through the good times and endured through the tough times right alongside our loyal customers and our community. The dedication by our employees - some who have been here for over four decades - and the loyalty of our customers - drive us to build on our award-winning brewing tradition. The current portfolio of brands is the strongest it has ever been. Our craft brewing heritage is proudly represented by the Dundee Ales and Lagers family. For premium beer consumers we created and continue to brew one of only two American originals - Genesee Cream Ale. And of course, we continue to proudly brew Genny Light, Genesee Beer, Genesee Ice, and Genesee N.A. We have also diversified our business by adding brands like Seagram's Escapes to our portfolio and we will continue to build our portfolio through new brand development, acquisitions and import agreements. We've also built a fine reputation as a brewing partner for a number of well known industry leaders. ContactDo you have a question or comment?
