Some say presentation is everything. But the purists know there's

much more to it than that. There's craft. Skill that must be developed

over time. Hard work that goes into finding just the right spot-the

perfect mix of natural elements, a confluence of sweetest earth and

purest water. Then, there's a bit of luck. Of course, it doesn't mean a

thing unless it all adds up to perfect presentation. Or what we like to

call Dry Fly Craft-Distilled Vodka, Whiskey and Gin.

IT BEGINS WITH A RIVER
A few years ago, we were knee-deep in the Gallatin River, just outside the

lie on a scenic bend. It was still early and the sun was rising slowly behind

the alders. It occurred to us how privileged we are to live, work and fish in

one of the most amazing places on Earth. We felt so fortunate that we

wanted to find some way to share the natural beauty and purity of the great

Northwest. What better way than by producing fly fishing-inspired distilled

spirits, made from only the purest locally grown ingredients? Heck, even the

name sort of presented itself.

DRY FLY DISTILLING
Dry Fly Distilling is a craft distillery in Spokane, Washington. We produce

craft-distilled vodka, gin and whiskey using only locally grown grains and

botanicals. Our still, manufactured in Goppingen, Germany, is a Christian

Carl pot still with multiple rectification columns. It has a 450-liter capacity

and we expect an annual output of approximately 3,500 cases of 12/750

mL bottles.

Dry Fly is owned and operated by Don Poffenroth and Kent Fleischmann.

Prior to starting Dry Fly, Don and Kent studied with Kris Berglund at Michigan

State University and trained in distillery operation with Alexander Plank and

Nick Haase of Christian Carl Distilleries in Germany.
