Crushpad Winery-Process of making Wine

California

To make great wine, you've got to start with great fruit. Crushpad only sources grapes from

California's top vineyards.

All of our sources are meticulously farmed by growers whose core focus is to supply fruit for

ultra-premium and luxury-class wines. Although points aren't everything, in most cases these

vineyards provide grapes for commercial wines regularly rated 92-100 points by the Wine

Advocate or Wine Spectator and that retail for $40 to $125+. This is great stuff.

As you look through our list of 2010 vineyards, please note that our allocations vary quite a

bit from vineyard to vineyard. There is no real correlation between how famous a vineyard is

and the size of our allocations. It's most often determined by the length of our relationship

with each grower and the luck of timing. Remember that Crushpad is run by people like

you - we believe that there is no reason to make wine from anything but the best fruit.

All of our sources are meticulously farmed by growers whose core focus is to supply fruit for

ultra-premium and luxury-class wines.

Great wine can only be made from great vineyards, and we have been working with our

viticulture team since early 2008 to identify vineyards with excellent terroir and grower

commitment to driving quality to its highest level. Vineyards are located both in the most

prestigious appellations, as well as lesser known appellations where the combination of

terroir, old vines and precision viticulture create concentrated fruit and world-class wines.

Following are our current vineyards for Harvest 2010. We will also be adding a few more

throughout the growing season to ensure a diversity of wine styles.

Crushpad is the Napa winery where you are the winemaker. Our goal is to give as much of the

winemaking experience to our clients as possible as they craft barrels of the highest quality wines.

In addition to custom winemaking, we also offer a variety of hands-on experiences at our

Silverado Trail winery, ranging from wine blending sessions to vineyard walks, and tasting classes

to harvest Crush-Camps. Everything is designed to give you insider's access into the magic

of winemaking.
