Partial Transcript: "On Tap, Buckeye Beer.
Hi Im James Knott and this is your Better Beer Authority.
Today we are reviewing Buckeye Beer. This historic beer was brewed by the Buckeye Brewing Company in Toledo, Ohio from 1838 until the company went out of business in 1972. It was revived years later by the Maumee Bay Brewing Company and is packaged with a cool, retro look.
This is a Czech Pilsener and is described by the brewery as a fine light beer with a sparkling dry taste and all the qualities of greatness.
It has 5.2% ABV. Thats Alcohol By Volume. ABV is the worldwide standard for measuring how much alcohol AKA ethanol is in an alcoholic beverage. The ABV in beer can be between 2 and 12 percent, but it usually falls between 4 and 6 percent. Wine is generally between 12 and 15 percent.
Some people describe the taste of Buckeye Beer as old-fashioned.
Scott: Does this remind you of an old-fashioned beer?
That gives us a BBA Rating of (???). Thats what we think. Try it and let us know what you think.
