1800 Tequila is a brand of tequila owned by the Beckmann Family, who also own

the Jose Cuervo brand. 1800 Tequila is a 100% Blue Agave Tequila and bottled in

 Jalisco, Mexico. 1800 is named after the year aged Tequila was first sold [1].

Originally named Cuervo 1800 Tequila, 1800 Tequila is sold throughout the world [2].

In the United States, the brand is imported and distributed by Proximo Spirits who are

based in Jersey City, New Jersey.[3]

Varieties Of 1800 Tequila

  • 1800 Silver (aged in oak barrels for 15 days, and blended with a touch of aged reserves)
  • 1800 Silver Select (100 proof, 100% agave tequila, aged in American Oak barrels for 15 days)
  • 1800 Reposado (rested in American and French Oak barrels for 6 months)
  • 1800 Anejo (aged in French Oak barrels for 3 years)
  • 1800 Coleccion (annual release with specially designed pewter decanter, a

blended tequila aged in charcoal French Oak barrels)

  • 1800 Essential Artists (limited edition silver product featuring Artwork picked by the brand owners)
  • 1800 Millenio (A one off run of 1800 Extra Anejo tequila produced for the new Millennium in 2000)

Essential Artist Series

In 2008, 1800 Tequila released a special limited-edition Essential Artist series [4], with 12

unique bottle designs. A second series was released in 2009 with 12 new designs picked from

online submissions from the public. A third series is expected to come out in May 2011.
